Svensk chat, one stranger at a time
Search for svensk chat or chat sverige and you mostly find two things: old chat rooms where a handful of nicknames type at each other, and apps that want your phone number before you have said a word. This is neither. You open the page, allow the camera, and you are talking to one stranger within seconds — someone in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö or Uppsala, or someone in another country altogether.
There is no account, no profile and nothing to download.
Swedish omegle: what took its place
Omegle shut down in November 2023. The searches — swedish omegle, omegle sverige, omegle swedish — kept coming, because the idea was always better than the site: a stranger on camera, no history, and the freedom to leave at any moment. That is the format here, with active moderation and a report button that is never more than one click away.
Chat with strangers in Sweden: a few manners that work
Swedes are known for liking their personal space, and a random chat respects that by design — no one knows your name unless you say it. A few habits help:
- Say something specific. "Var bor du?" or a question about what is behind them beats a plain hej.
- Ask about language. Most Swedes switch to English without thinking, but if you are learning Swedish, say so — many people are happy to stay in it and help.
- Leave without guilt. Skipping is not rude; it is how the format works.
- Keep the personal stuff for later. Your surname, school and Instagram handle are not needed in the first conversation. Nothing about you is saved as a profile, so a stranger only knows what you tell them.
Random chat Sverige, and the rest of the Nordics
Sweden is on UTC+1 (UTC+2 in summer), which puts it on the same evening as Norway and Denmark and one hour behind Finland. Swedish, Norwegian and Danish are close enough that a conversation across the border often works without anyone switching language.
Neighbouring pages: Norway, Denmark, Finland. Before your first match you might also want how Chaturro works, the FAQs or the list of alternatives.
